This notice explains how Christopher Carter, a sole proprietor doing business as Howdy Carter, handles information connected to this website and the Howdy subscription service.
What is collected
The public site can be used without an account. When you start a subscription, Stripe collects the contact, business, billing, and payment information needed to complete checkout. The short pre-brief asks for your first problem and an optional URL or desired outcome. Do not enter passwords, private keys, recovery codes, health information, payment-card details, or other secrets in those fields.
After verified payment, Trello receives the information needed to create a private delivery board and invite the email address supplied through Stripe. Project information you later add to that board is used to deliver the service.
Anonymous measurement
PostHog is configured for named, allowlisted funnel events only. The site does not use analytics cookies, person profiles, session replay, heatmaps, autocapture, advertising pixels, or full URLs with query strings. Email, company, problem text, Stripe identifiers, and Trello identifiers are not sent to PostHog. Do Not Track is honored, and the footer control can disable or re-enable anonymous analytics on this browser.
Service providers
- Stripe processes checkout, recurring billing, invoices, receipts, and billing management.
- Atlassian/Trello hosts private client-delivery boards and invitations.
- PostHog receives the limited anonymous events described above.
- The hosting and email providers process the minimum technical or message data needed to operate the site and answer inquiries.
Howdy Carter does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Use, retention, and choices
Information is used to provide and secure the service, process billing, communicate about work, resolve support issues, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Anonymous product analytics are retained for up to twelve months. Billing records may be retained for the period required by tax and accounting rules. Delivery records are retained while they support the client relationship, service history, or a legal obligation, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information controlled by Howdy Carter. Stripe, Atlassian, and other providers may also offer their own account and privacy controls.
