Create and export a cutout

Choose a photo or take a new one, let CleanCut identify the subject, and select a background. Share exports a PNG. Save adds the result to Photos after you grant permission.

Free exports support a transparent, white, or black background and a maximum dimension of 1,024 pixels. Pro adds original-resolution export and custom background colors. The upgrade screen shows the available plans and their current prices before you confirm a purchase.

A cutout is missing detail

Try a well-lit photo with a clear subject and a distinct background. Busy backgrounds, low contrast, transparent objects, and fine hair can be harder to separate. CleanCut does not send the image to a remote editing service to improve the result.

A photo will not open or save

A photo stored in iCloud may need an internet connection to download. If Save is unavailable, allow CleanCut to add photos in iOS Settings or use Share to export to Files. Keep an exported copy before resetting the editor.

Purchases and restoring access

Use Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. An internet connection may be needed. If no upgrade options load, try again later; a displayed option and Apple's confirmation sheet show the price before you agree to pay.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple. Manage or cancel an existing subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.

For billing or refund requests, use Apple's purchase support. Do not send us payment-card details or your Apple Account password.
